The Community Empowered Research Center (CERC) is a community-based nonprofit organization committed to empowering marginalized individuals, particularly women and girls of all ages, poor families, homeless individuals, and underserved communities. Grounded in diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism; we serve people of all ethnicities, colors, religions, castes, genders, and backgrounds, creating opportunities for all. CERC’s mission is to break the cycle of poverty through programs that address local needs, including job readiness, skill-building workshops, employment initiatives, and transitional housing. We support veterans, disabled individuals, and indigent international students, fostering self-reliance and building resilient communities that promote well-being, mental peace, and healthier physically. VISION

CERC envisions a future where all individuals and families can achieve self-sufficiency and lead fulfilling lives, regardless of their circumstances. We provide essential training programs in basic English, computer skills, bookkeeping, driver’s knowledge exam preparation, and citizenship test coaching to equip individuals for meaningful employment. We enhance professional growth through job assistance and referrals for certification programs such as lifeguarding, CPA, medical/dental assistant, and nursing. To strengthen community ties, we host camps, cultural events, and trips that celebrate diversity and foster connection. Looking ahead, we aim to inspire young talents with sports initiatives like soccer programs and create cultural projects that promote inclusivity and understanding. Through education, cultural enrichment, and professional development, CERC is dedicated to building a thriving, united community.
